It is said that milk the most nutritive beverage one can have on this planet. However, most people drink milk in the wrong way which is why instead of getting the maximum benefits from this super food, they face digestion issues, skin allergies, bloating, weight gain, kidney disorders, and other stomach related issues.

The 5 mistakes we make while drinking milk are as follows:
1. With meals-
Milk is a complete meal in itself but still many times we drink milk just after a meal. Drinking milk just before or after meals is considered as consuming 2 meals at a time.

This puts undue pressure on our digestive system and as a result our body not only absorbs the nutrients from the milk as welll as the food we have taken. Make sure to keep a gap of atleast 2 hours between the meals and the milk.
2. With salty foods-
Do you eat parathas with chai or you like namkeen with chai or you add milk while cooking certain curries? If yes, then you're unknowingly damaging your system within. It is proven that-
MILK + SALT = SLOW POISON
This can cause irregular reactions in the body and its effect can be seen on skin. Make sure atleast keep a gap of 1 hour between milk and a salty meal.
3. Drinking chilled milk-
Sometimes, espicially in summers we tend to drink chilled or bottle milks like 'AMUL COOL'. However, this is bad for your system. Milk is heavy in nature and chilled milk is super heavy, making it extremely difficult to digest, leading to gas, bloating and constipation. It is always recommend to drink warm milk or atleast at room temperature.
4.Adding Sugar-
Milk is naturally sweet as it contains Lactose which is type of sugar. Moreover, sugar increases its calorie content leading to increase weight. If still wanted to sweeten the milk, use honey, mishri, or jaggery powder.5.With fruits-

Its shocking but true that milk is incompatible with most of the fruits espicially foods which are sour in nature, like lemon, milk should be strictly avoided. Only sour fruit compatible with milk is Indian Gooseberry (amla). Dates, bananas and mangoes, if purely sweet and riped may be combined with milk but this combination is quite heavy on digestive system.

Milk should be consumed at anytime of the day but after sunset is best. This is because the enzymes required to properly digest the milk are produced in evening.
Solution for Lactose Intolerants-
- Get milk, and put it over flame and add a pinch of dry ginger and bring it to boil. Then let the milk get cooled to warm temperature.
- Start drinking milk from 2 sips a day and gradually increase the intake day-by-day, accordingly how your body reacts.
